First entry. Here we go.

So, the site is up. You've probably already read the About page, so you know the broad strokes — the pen name, the children's books, the drawer full of unfinished novels.

This journal is where the rest of it happens.

I won't pretend to have a plan for what goes here. Writing updates, mostly, I suppose. Thoughts on whatever I'm reading. Reflecting sometimes on what it's like to finish things I started years ago. Maybe... we'll see.

What I can tell you is that the historical fiction is underway. Properly underway. That's what the workshop is for, and that's where most of my energy is going right now.

I will also set up the social media channels over the coming weeks. So, if you've stumbled across this site somehow, welcome. You're early. Tell your friends. Though I don’t know what you can tell them about this. But tell them anyway.
